It's the leap year this year, 2008! I've 2 friends born on this day and I guess this year will be very significant to them. 1 pri & 1 sec friend. Appreciate alot the friendships they have given to me.
Pri sch fren - Yi Ning. Back in pri 6, she was the one whom i usually seek for help in hw. At that time, we didn't have hp and we contact each other only thr hse phone. We graduated, went to our respective sec sch and aft 4 yrs, she entered into rjc and nyp for me. During these 6years +, we drifted apart. Both of us led different lives with new friends. Only managed to only see each other during pri sch gathering and exchanged few SMSes. Our friendship began again last year when we bumped into each other at Citylink Mall. We started to have several meet ups since then and had long chats on our first meet up because there were alot of things to update each other. From sec to jc/poly and recalling our pri sch lives. Now she is in NTU and me, going to graduate (unofficially) from poly in 4 days time. Our friendship continue to grow...
Sec fren - Miao Hui. She was my sitting partner in the upper sec (sec 4???) and 'gentle' was the first word that comes to my mind. Haha. I rmbed that I always like to ask her for sweets in class or smth and we just love to eat. Brilliant girl who turned into a pretty person now. Easy to rmb her birthday for it falls on the 29th feb. Second fren whose birthday falls on a leap year. Somehow our clique was formed, consisting the 6 of us with common interest which is to eat. Haha. At first, our meet ups was just to have meal tgt and chat but slowly, we meet up for movies, kbox & shopping etc. And thats how our 5 years of friendship last till now.
So we went to celebrate Miao Hui's birthday today. Perhaps an opportunity for me to relax after 3 days of stress and very relieved that half of the battle was over. But will be extremely happy when tuesday comes!!! As usual, we had troubles in finding a nice place to eat and walking aimlessly till we came across Surf 'N' Turf which is having birthday promotion. 15% off ala cart bill and a free Amercian Brownie with vanilla ice-cream. Ambience was nice, food was average, customer service was average too but the waiting time was relatively long. Nevertheless, it's the company that matters the most! (:
3 papers down, 2 more to tackle!!! Can't wait for Tuesday to arrive! I've started listing the things I want to do in my mind during this long break...
